When you choose any CHI St. Joseph Health center for emergency care, you have access to the same standards and practices used by the highest accredited Emergency & Trauma Center in the Brazos Valley, with seamless transport to CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital if additional care is needed.
The CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital Emergency & Trauma Center is a state-designated Level II Trauma Center, the highest-level trauma center in the 9-county region, and is the only one of its kind in the region. Staffed with board-certified Emergency Physicians 24 hours a day, the Center also has on-site CHI St. Joseph Health AirMedical helicopter transport services to meet the needs of our large service area.

In addition to our specialized medical departments and innovative services and research, our emergency centers are equipped to handle any emergency situation. CHI St. Joseph Health provides full emergency services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Areas We Cover
CHI St. Joseph Health’s Regional Emergency & Trauma Center covers nine counties in the Brazos Valley. Additionally, our EMS service has stations in five of the seven regions of the Brazos Valley Regional Advisory Council (BVRAC). We provide 911 coverage through EMS and AirMed 12 across Burleson, Grimes and Madison counties and a portion of Leon County. Our primary functions in those counties include transporting critical care patients to higher level of care facilities and 911 servicing. In addition, our EMS team serves as a backup 911 provider to Brazos County through mutual aid response.

That’s why CHI St. Joseph Health emergency facilities are in network with most major insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna and Cigna.

(1) This facility is licensed by the State of Texas as a freestanding emergency medical care facility
(2) This facility charges rates comparable to a hospital emergency room and may charge a facility fee;
(3) This facility or the doctor providing medical care at this facility may not be a participating provider in the patient’s health benefit plan provider network; and
(4) The doctor providing medical care at this facility may bill separately from the facility for the medical care provided to the patient.
